GTI was represented at a panel discussion in Houston, Texas on March 9, where GTI team member Johanna Eklund discussed opportunities and challenges in relation to the green transition. The panel highlighted Houston's potential as a hub for innovative energy solutions, as it is commonly referred to as the "Energy Capital of the World" and is now shifting its focus to become the "Energy Transition Capital of the World". This presents a significant opportunity for Swedish companies interested in expanding in Texas. Furthermore, the discussion emphasized the need for collaboration among cities to achieve their net zero emissions targets. Other speakers at the event, organized by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Texas (SACC TX), included Karin Olofsdotter, the Ambassador of Sweden to the United States, Jane Nelson, the Secretary of State of Texas, and Rich Brynes, the Chief Port Infrastructure Officer of Port Houston.
